The founders of the prestigious T.O.C recognized many years ago that smaller aerobatic models made to emulate their full size aircraft counterparts should be permitted some deviations from scale to best perform aerobatic maneuvers. Full size aircraft and models fly under vastly different moments of inertia, wing loadings, speed, reynold’s numbers etc. Over Quique’s many years of experience in aerobatic competition, both F3A and the T.O.C., he has perhaps amassed the most knowledge and developed the best skills of any modeler world wide in knowing the exact changes to make designing and developing semi-scale aerobatic models. Our airplanes will simply amaze you with their performance!

Designed to blur the line of 3D and precision aerobatic. Learn extreme 3-D and practice precision IMAC maneuvers with this outstanding performer designed by Quique Somenzini recognized by many as the father of the 3D revolution.
The Somenized™ Yak 54 49” features built-up construction foam free technique, plug-in wings with carbon fiber wing tube, quality fiberglass cowl, composite landing gear and pull/pull linkage for all tail control surfaces. Kit includes all hardware except motor, speed controller, prop and radio equipment.

This kit comes 95% built with a very detailed assembly manual. It is beautifully covered with high quality film and a marvelous paint job on the fiber glass parts and canopy giving a beautiful finish.

The flying as all our line of Yak-54 blurs the line between hardcore 3D performance and precision stability. The generous wing area and low weight bring the wing loading down giving the airplane truly incredible slow speed stability.

We incorporated removable side force generators to enhance yaw control and slow speed stability. The bottom line is this 49” will make you feel you own a giant scale with lower cost and easier operation.

We are offering this new addition in two color schemes, the original QS color scheme as designed by Quique’s wife Sandra for his 37.4% Yak-54 T.O.C. entry. The second scheme is the Brio color scheme, also designed by Sandra.

A truly unlimited performance is offered by our 49” in combination with Hacker the world leader in brushless motors which are manufactured in Germany . Our combo includes Hacker Outrunner motor A30-14L and Hacker X40 PRO-SBEC speed controller that will blow your mind!
