Our line
The founders of the prestigious T.O.C recognized many years ago that smaller aerobatic models made to emulate their full size aircraft counterparts should be permitted some deviations from scale to best perform aerobatic maneuvers. Full size aircraft and models fly under vastly different moments of inertia, wing loadings, speed, reynold’s numbers etc. Over Quique’s many years of experience in aerobatic competition, both F3A and the T.O.C., he has perhaps amassed the most knowledge and developed the best skills of any modeler world wide in knowing the exact changes to make designing and developing semi-scale aerobatic models. Our airplanes will simply amaze you with their performance!

Description:

This ARF kit comes about 97% built. It is beautifully covered with Ultracote film with a marvelous paint job on the fiber glass parts and canopy. This is an airplane that blurs the line between hardcore 3D performance and precision stability. Quique designed this airplane based on his 37.4% competition Yak-54 that he used to win so many world aerobatic competitions.

The NEW 86" Yak takes all the great features of the 85" Yak and makes it even better with a list of changes and new additions to provide the very best in 50cc performance. Take a look at what makes the new 86" THE 50cc Yak for 2007:
  • Larger airplane at less  weight
  • Canister tunnel! Many customers fly on restricted noise field and requested this feature to install a quiet canister.
  • Removable stabs: For those customers wishing to step up to a 50cc class aircraft and still fit in their existing vehicle. It's also easier and faster to assemble over a fixed stab. Finally the elevator servos are positioning on the stab lay down making the linkage very direct. By placing the servos on the stab and making the stab removable we were be able to construct different the rear section of the fuselage reducing weight.
  • The Dubro control horns have been replaced by fiberglass horns. These new control horns are designed for the airplane and best match the airplane's linkage configuration and are lighter than the DuBro horns.
  • Since the new 86” is designed with the light 50cc class engines in mind we designed a new, longer engine box . As a result of this DA engines will use 1 ¼ stand off reducing vibration.
  • We've increased the nose moment slightly for better balancing with light engines.
  • A beautiful new color scheme that I am sure you will love.
  • Tank mount, throttle servo, ignition and switch mounts are all pre-built and ready for your hardware!
  • All bevels in all surface has been revised for maximum throw and minimum hinge gap.
  • New foam-free technology in the fuselage to reduce weight and max strength.
  • Of course the 86" still is convered in genuine Oracover (called UltraCote here in the U.S)
  • Our prototype with DA50 MTW headers, MTW Canister, 4,000 Duralite Lion, 1 RX, 8611a serovs all around, 4” solid plate aluminum back plate (Tru Turn), Mejzlik 22x8 weighed just 16 lbs 2 oz.!!!
  • Redesigned composite landing gear keeps the original 85" gear great looks and lightweight but is even stronger.

This is a truly unlimited performer for both 3D and precision aerobatics. For those of you that are looking for a serious but not so expensive aerobatic IMAC competition airplane, this one should receive your up-most consideration. If you want to do 3-D only, Quique guarantees that you’ll find this Yak-54, 86” the most stable and predictable model for unlimited 3D aerobatics that you have ever tried in this size model.
